Thai Thi Minh - Regional Director
Minh holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Science from the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany. Before joining Rikolto as Regional Director and Rice Programme Coordinator in July 2017, she accumulated more than 20 years of experience in international development, research and capacity building. This includes 15 years working with development actors such as DANIDA, GIZ, FAO, businesses and NGOs in Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. In addition, she also has ten years of experience working at academic institutions in Germany and Denmark, focusing on research, innovation and commercialization for inclusive value chains, development, and marginalization. Her expertise lays in innovation systems, institutional innovation, value chain, participatory training and educational approaches. She also has experience in managing and coordinating large-scale public private partnerships and research & development programmes.
Hoang Thanh Hai - Vegetables Programme Coordinator and Tea Expert
Before joining Rikolto in May 2011 as a Field Coordinator, Hai had 11 years of experience as a socioeconomic development planning specialist, during which he worked for four development organizations: UNDP/IFAD, GFA/GTZ, Oxfam Quebec and Helvetas. Hai obtained a Master in Market Research and Marketing Strategies from Nantes University, France in 2010. He has expertise in market research, socioeconomic development planning and M&E. He also has experience in managing large-scale public private partnerships and has implemented projects for multiple stakeholders including Unilever, Rainforest Alliance and the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH). Recently Hai has completed the Rainforest Alliance’s Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN) trainings and obtained a score of over 90%. Since 2017, Hai is the focal point for Rikolto's International Food-Smart Cities cluster in Vietnam.
Nguyen Tran Lam - Research Advisor
Nguyen Tran Lam began his work at Rikolto as Research Advisor in August 2018. Before joining Rikolto, he had more than 20 years of experience working as researcher, principal investigator, project manager, development specialist, and programme director in various development projects in Vietnam, Asia and Europe. His PhD research project was sponsored by the University of Amsterdam, dealing with social and economic change and its impact. His expertise covers economics, agriculture, health, education, private sector, governance, human rights, civil society, gender, etc. His publications appeared on WorldScientific, Taylor & Francis, White Lotus, ADBI, and other peer review journals in Asia and Vietnam.
Linh Dieu Pham - Programme Officer (Safe Vegetables)
Linh Dieu Pham graduated from Purdue University with a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics. Before moving to Purdue in the United States, she worked on development projects supporting ethnic minority communities in Northern Vietnam. Linh is passionate about supporting smallholder farmers to build their livelihoods based on sustainable agriculture. Interested in agricultural product value chains and market access for poor farmers, Linh joined Rikolto to work as a Vegetable Programme Officer in August 2018.
Tuan Le - Senior Programme Officer (Rice)
Tuan obtained a Master's Degree in International Business from La Trobe University, Australia in 2012. Before joining Rikolto as a Senior Rice Programme Officer in November 2017, Tuan had 4 years of experience working in the rice sector in the Mekong Delta, during which he worked as a trading and planning deputy manager for Orient Rice Co., Ltd – a joint venture rice mill between Vinafood 1 and Louis Dreyfus Company. Drawing on his experience in the business sector, Tuan is now dedicated to contribute to the sustainable development of the rice sector in Vietnam.
Dang Dinh Thanh - Programme Officer (Rice)
Thanh holds a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from Hanoi Agricultural University and obtained his certificate of pedagogic methodology at Hanoi University of Industry. He has over eight years of experience in community development and tea production. Prior to joining Rikolto, Thanh worked as a community development coordinator for the Rural Development Services Center (RDSC) in Phu Tho province. Thanh joined Rikolto in Vietnam in 2009 and is responsible for partnership development and the planning and monitoring of the implementation of tea chain development with program partners in Yen Lap district. He is committed to value chain development and its integration in the country’s agriculture extension system. Thanh has completed a Master’s degree in Agriculture and is a key player in Rikolto's work by supporting 19,000 farmers through Farmer Field School trainings. Recently Thanh has completed the Rainforest Alliance’s Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN) trainings and obtained a score of over 90%.
Nguyen Thi Den - Programme Officer (Safe Vegetables)
Den holds a Bachelor in Agronomy from Hanoi Agricultural University. Prior to joining Rikolto, she worked as a project officer for the Rural Development Services Center (RDSC). Her experience includes formulation and provision of technical trainings and capacity building for CBOs, production group and agriculture co-operative chain development with program partners in Viet Tri City. She is a proactive and enthusiastic worker, with experiences in delivering/overseeing trainings, both technical and related to business management. Recently Den has completed the Rainforest Alliance’s Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN) trainings and obtained a score of over 90%.
Tran Thi Thap Hieu - Project Officer (FVN - Food Systems Innovations Project)
Before joining in Rikolto, Hieu had more than 5 years of experience as a researcher in Faculty of Fisheries at Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA). Hieu achieved a Master scholarship in Aquaculture which funded by VLIR-UOS, Belgium. Attending in many projects which enhanced sustainable development of agriculture, Hieu has passion for supporting the poors and farmers to increase income and profits from the products that they produce. She started working at Rikolto in Vietnam in November 2018 at the position of Project Officer to work for the project ‘Increasing fruit and vegetable intake of low-income populations in Vietnam and Nigeria through food system innovations’ (FVN project). The project is funded by the UK’s Department of International Development (DFID) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

Charlotte Flechet - Programme Development Advisor
Charlotte joined Rikolto in April 2016. She holds Master's degrees in International Relations and Sociology & Anthropology fromthe Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium and an MSc in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh, UK. After her studies, she was an intern with the European office of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Brussels and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (UNEP) in Montreal. Her first experience working with smallholder farmers was in 2014 while conducting research on the adoption of conservation measures by participants in farmer field schools in Uganda. Passionate about nature, climate justice and sustainable development, Charlotte joined Rikolto as Monitoring & Evaluation and Communications officer.
Le Hong Hanh - Junior Planning, Learning and Accountability (PLA) Officer
Hanh graduated from Hanoi's National Economics University with a major in finance and banking. Before joining Rikolto, she contributed to several social projects focusing on understanding poverty and promoting integrity among people. She started working at Rikolto in Vietnam in 2015 as an intern for the project ‘Integrating Smallholders into Quality and Sustainable Tea Supply Chains in Vietnam’, funded by Rainforest Alliance. Hanh has continued to work in the tea sub-sector as a project assistant since January 2016 and also provides support to the safe and organic vegetables projects.

Nguyen Thi Nhu Hoa - Finance, Administration and Human Resources Manager
Hoa obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economy and Accounting from the Commercial University in Hanoi. Before joining Rikolto Vietnam in April 2000, she had 7 years of working experience in the business sector as an accountant and chief accountant for both Vietnamese and international organizations. Previous positions within Rikolto include the positions of Accountant (2000-2005) and Financial Officer (2005-2006). She moved into the position of Finance and Administration Manager in July 2006. As main responsible of the Finance/Administration unit she ensures its efficient and effective operation, in order to contribute to the mission of Rikolto.
Ngo Thi Thu Phuong - Finance Officer
Phuong obtained a Master of Business Administration at the Franco-Vietnamese Center for Management Training (CFVG) of the Hanoi National Economic University. She also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages with a major in French from the University of Foreign Languages. Before joining Rikolto as an accountant, Phuong worked for Gide Loyrette Nouel, a French lawyer's firm in Hanoi and for Médecins du Monde, a French NGO, where she mainly worked in finance. Phuong joined the Rikolto team in September 2006. She is highly responsible, precise and reliable.
Le Thuy Linh - Administrative Officer
Graduating with Bachelor of English in International Relations in Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam in 2012, she has 3 year experience working in Hanoi Department for Foreign Affairs in administration and NGOs management division as well as translator for the Department’s website and magazines. After that, she works for Education for Nature – a local NGOs as administrative and financial officer in 2016. She is well - organized, reliable and responsible with her job.
