Programme

Dam Trong Tuan - Representative, Rikolto in Vietnam, Good Food for Cities (GF4C) Programme Manager

Tuan Dam obtained a Bachelor’s Science in Forestry Management from the Vietnam National University of Forestry and a Master of Arts in Development Studies Science on Local and Regional Development from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague - the Netherlands. Before joining Rikolto in July 2021, he had more than 20 years of experience working in various local and international development organizations. In his early career, he was both project/programme officer and managerial positions for the grants funded by German BMZ, PARTNER Canada, ICCO-The Netherlands, CCFD-France, NPA-Norway, MISEREOR, SODI- Germany, EU, and IFAD. He successfully delivered achievements for results-based and multi-track projects/programes in complex and challenging settings and across from local and national to the Mekong and the Asia Pacific Regions. These projects/ programmes focus on strengthening institutional development and local capacity in farming, promoting green alternatives and agroecological value chains for sustainable and equitable economic growth including cross-cutting topics i.e., environmental sustainability and gender equity. Since 25 March 2022, he has been responsible for Representative of Rikolto in Vietnam and FSC Programme Manager of Rikolto in Vietnam.

Nguyen Thi Den - Good Food for Cities (GF4C) Programme Officer

Den holds a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from Hanoi Agricultural University. Prior to joining Rikolto, she worked as a Project Officer for the Rural Development Services Center (RDSC). Her experience includes formulation and provision of technical training and capacity building for CBOs, production groups, and agriculture co-operative chain development with program partners in Viet Tri City. She was a proactive and enthusiastic staff, with experience in delivering/overseeing training, both technical and related to business management. Den has had more than 13 years of working in Rikolto since 2009, in the positions of Project Field Officer, Project Officer, and Programme Officer. She has gained practical knowledge and skills in working in partnership with the multi-stakeholders to implement vegetables, rice and tea projects and Good Food for Cities programme to develop sustainable agricultural production, promoting market linkages between farmer organizations, the private sector, and customers; and enabling an environment for food systems in Vietnam.

Hang Duong - Good Food for Cities (GF4C) Programme Officer

Hang Duong holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Banking from Hanoi University (Vietnam) and a Master's Degree of Management in Agribusiness from Lincoln University (New Zealand). Before joining Rikolto, she has more than 8 years of experience working on community development projects in non-government organizations including WARECOD (Vietnam), Good Neighbors International (Korea) and SNV (Netherlands). She worked in multiple functions including project officer, fundraising officer, and project coordinator. In these organizations, Hang contributed to designing projects to enhance local people’s awareness of water resources and to improve household livelihoods. Her contribution to project proposal applications resulted in more than 10 funds successfully being granted. Hang joined Rikolto in July 2022 and is working as the Programme Officer in the Good Food for Cities programme. She involves in activities to improve sustainable agriculture production and inclusive business practices. She enjoys understanding the dynamics and finding solutions for problems in wet markets In Vietnam. Apart from that, she actively participates in the Good Food at School project in Hanoi.

Le Tuan - Rice Programme Manager, Rikolto in Vietnam and Rice Programme Director, Rikolto in Southeast Asia

Tuan Le obtained a Master's Degree in International Business from La Trobe University, Australia in 2012. Before joining Rikolto as a Senior Rice Programme Officer in November 2017, Tuan had 4 years of experience working in the rice sector in the Mekong Delta, during which he worked as a trading and planning deputy manager for Orient Rice Co., Ltd – a joint venture rice mill between Vinafood 1 and Louis Dreyfus Company. Drawing on his experience in the business sector, Tuan is now dedicated to contributing to the sustainable development of the rice sector in Vietnam. Tuan Le has been active member of Rice Cluster Team of Rikolto between 2018 and 2021. Tuan Le started to hold officially the position of Rice Programme Manager, Rikolto in Vietnam and Rice Programme Director, Rikolto in Southeast Asia on 01 January 2023.


Operations

Nguyen Thi Nhu Hoa - Head of Operations

After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Engineering from Vietnam Commercial University, Hoa had 7 years of working experience in the business sector as an Accountant and a Chief Accountant for Vietnamese and international companies before joining Rikolto in Vietnam in April 2000. Starting at Rikolto as an Accountant and then a Finance Officer, she was promoted to different positions including Finance and Administration Manager in 2006, Finance, Administrative and Human Resources Manager in 2017, before becoming the Head of Operations of Rikolto in Vietnam since March 2022. Holding key responsibilities for the Operations unit, she ensured its efficient and effective operations of the Finance, Administration, Human Resources, and Communications functions, in order to support different programmes and contribute to the mission of Rikolto in Vietnam.

Ngo Thi Thu Phuong - Finance Officer

Phuong obtained a Master of Business Administration at the Franco-Vietnamese Center for Management Training (CFVG) of the Hanoi National Economic University. Before joining Rikolto as an accountant, Phuong worked for Gide Loyrette Nouel, a French lawyer's firm in Hanoi, and for Médecins du Monde, a French NGO, where she mainly worked in finance. Phuong joined the Rikolto team in September 2006. She is highly responsible, precise, and reliable.

Do Thi Tiep - Administrative Officer

Tiep graduated from Hanoi University Business and Technology, majoring in Business Management. Tiep started working in Rikolto as an Admin Officer since February 2020. Before Rikolto, she has been working as an Admin Officer in Siam Recycling System Co., Ltd. for more than 3 years. She loves supporting people and contribute to creating an effective international working environment. Besides working time, she likes travelling and meeting with different people to learn and experience about different social cultures.

Vuong Tuyet Nhung – Communications Officer

Nhung obtained a Master of Public Relations from the Vietnam Academy of Journalism and Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Foreign Languages (Hanoi University). Before joining Rikolto, Nhung had 13 years of experience in communication, branding and visibility management, program promotion, media relations, and campaign strategies for international NGO and schools such as ChildFund, and Hoa Sua Vocational School for Disadvantaged Youth, and some local NGOs and companies. She has developed various products across different communication platforms to promote visibility and increase the country, regional and global impact of development on vulnerable groups of communities. Nhung has worked in Rikolto as Communications Officer since September 2020.
